HITCHCOCK, 7:00pm
Lurking behind Alfred Hitchcock, cinema's "master of suspense" -- the extraordinary film icon known for orchestrating some of the most intense experiences of menace and intrigue audiences have ever seen, was a hidden side: his creatively explosive romance with his steadfast wife and filmmaking collaborator, Alma Reville.
Now, for the first time, Sacha Gervasi's HITCHCOCK lays bare their captivating and complex love story. It does so through the sly, shadowy lens of their most daring filmmaking adventure: the making of the spine-tingling 1960 thriller, PSYCHO, which would become the director's most controversial and legendary film. When the tumultuous, against-the-odds production was over, nothing about movies would ever be the same - but few realized that it took two to pull it off.

PSYCHO, 9:00pm
The Master's most notorious film is still terrifying after all these years, as larcenous Leigh picks the wrong place to spend a night: The Bates Motel (12 cabins, 12 vacancies... and 12 showers), run by a peculiar young man and his crotchety old "mother.'' Hitchcock's murder set pieces are so potent, they can galvanize (and frighten) even a viewer who's seen them before! Bernard Herrmann's legendary (and endlessly imitated) score adds much to the excitement. Script by Joseph Stefano from the Robert Bloch novel. Followed by three sequels (the last for cable TV) and a TV movie (BATES MOTEL) decades later, and remade in 1998.

REBECCA, 7:00pm
Based on the famous novel by Daphne Du Maurier, this atmospheric drama is filled with the presence of a character that never appears - that of Rebecca, the beautiful, deceased wife of brooding, mysterious Max de Winter (Laurence Olivier). His second wife, a shy young former secretary (Joan Fontaine), finds her married life at the ancestral estate dominated by the continuing influence and pervasive presence of her predecessor - until she learns the truth about Rebecca’s life and death.
Release Date: April 12, 1940
Runtime: 130 minutes
THE BIRDS, 9:30pm
The story begins as an innocuous romantic triangle involving wealthy, spoiled Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren), handsome Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor), and schoolteacher Annie Hayworth (Suzanne Pleshette). The human story begins in a San Francisco pet shop and culminates at the home of Mitch's mother (Jessica Tandy) at Bodega Bay, where the characters' sense of security is slowly eroded by the curious behavior of the birds in the area. At first, it's no more than a sea gull swooping down and pecking at Melanie's head. Things take a truly ugly turn when hundreds of birds converge on a children's party. There is never an explanation as to why the birds have run amok, but once the onslaught begins, there's virtually no letup.
